AllerAir Air Purifier

Looking like something out of a Star Wars movie, the AllerAir 5000 Vocarb Air Purifier advertises itself as having a modern, unique design. They sure got the unique part right, but to be honest, we’re not 100% sure about the “modern-ness” of the purifier.

AllerAir Air Purifier 5000 Vocarb Review

Aside from the visual aspects though, the AllerAir 5000 Vocarb Air Purifier certainly does have a lot to be talked about. It is arguably one of the most feature packed air purifiers on the market, and a huge amount of research by both independent authorities and the manufacturer itself has proved the continued effectiveness of the product. We decided to put it to the test, to see if indeed the claims that were being made were true.

AllerAir 5000 Vocarb Air Purifier Specifications & Features

Filtration Stages
The AllerAir 5000 Vocarb Air Purifier uses 3 stages of filtration to ensure the cleanest possible air is present at all times. The first stage, a pre-filter – removes obvious particles from the air (the ones you can see floating around). The second stage is a carbon filter, which provides a molecularly sticky surface for air to pass over.

During this stage, any toxic gases or fumes are “caught” – and the clean air is allowed to pass. Finally, a HEPA filter removes further particles, such as common allergens and airborne mold and spores.

Design & Style
We believe that the design of the AllerAir 5000 Vocarb Air Purifier is more suited to a commercial / business environment than a home environment. Sure, if you have a home business, no doubt you could wheel the machine in and out of the office as needed. But for permanent positioning and use, the design is not all that beautiful or stylish.

Accreditations
The AllerAir 5000 Vocarb Air Purifier is rated for VOC removal – which is a commercial standard of air filtration – requiring a carbon filter to remove sticky air particles. Therefore, if you do indeed plan on using this air filter in your home, you can rest assured that you are getting commercial grade filtration, at a fraction of the price of a true commercial air purifier.

Effectiveness
The medical grade HEPA filter on this model removes 99.97% of airborne particles, and the performance in our testing backed this claim up. Remember, the sizes of the airborne particles we are talking about are measured on the “micron” scale – which is incredibly small. This model removes all particles larger than 0.3 microns in size.

Our Rating of AllerAir 5000 Vocarb Air Purifier
If this machine didn’t look so much like a robot, and didn’t have a giant eye at the front which stares at us when we walk around the room (not really, but there’s a gaping big hole at the front) – we would have awarded it 5 stars.

But because style and design is such an important aspect of any home appliance, we have downgraded this machine to a 4.5 star rating. The performance and effectiveness is second to none, and there are no faults to be found with the filtration technology or processes.

AllerAir Air Purifier

Allerair AirMedic Review

AllerAir – this manufacturer has created very efficient air purifying units that have taken the industry by storm. Both of their earlier releases – AllerAir 4000 and AllerAir 5000 have been sought after and are widely used in homes, offices, hospitals, and that’s just to name a few.

However, if you’re in the market for the best that AllerAir has to offer, if you’re looking to provide the cleanest air for your room, home, office, etc. then you should set your sights and lay your hands on the AllerAir Air Medic. Coming with a cylindrical shape, one of the strong points of AllerAir AirMedic is its 360-degree air intake, which has been proven to be very effective when it comes to removing different chemicals, particles, gases, as well as odors right from the first pass of air through the air cleaning and purifying unit.

The performance of the AllerAir Air Medic is topnotch and consistent and immediate cleaning of air is piece of cake with this air purifier. If you or one of your family’s members is suffering from multiple chemical sensitivities (known as MCS for short), then you can’t go wrong with this air purifier. Not only is it beefed up with different features that trap even the smallest amounts or traces of chemical vapors, more importantly, they’re built with inert materials…guaranteeing that the air purifier won’t produce any off-gas VOC’s as well as other health-endangering chemicals.

One of the outstanding features of the AllerAir AirMedic is the EcoFlow Technology. This technology offers different features that you can tweak and customize depending on your needs and wants – whether you are chemically sensitive or environmentally conscious.

The all-metal housing of the AllerAir AirMedic makes this air purifying unit a sturdy piece of equipment that won’t bend or brake. Combine these with the fact that this air purifier has attained an exceptional particle filtration certificate from an independent DOP test, the AllerAir AirMedic is a must-have if you want to fill your room with cleaner and healthier air.

Allerair 5000 Review

Just like its smaller version – the AllerAir 4000, the AllerAir 5000 takes advantage of different and replaceable air filters that work independently. First, it has the 18 pound mass activated carbon bed (which is also known as MAC-B for short), a 66 square foot HEPA filter, a pre-filter, and 2 anti-microbial filters.

Whew! That’s a lot of filters. I wonder if any microbe, allergen, or particle could survive that! AllerAir 5000 uses a blanket wrap pre-filter. This part of AllerAir 5000 is responsible for capturing large airborne particles and impurities like hair, insects, leaf fragments, and larger dust.

Personally, I love the large Mass Activated Carbon Bed (MAC-B) weighing at 18 pounds. This filter of AllerAir 5000 has the ability to easily get rid of and clean airborne chemicals, reduce cigarette smoke, molds and mildews, paint fumes, solvents, as well as gasses from carpet, furniture, and plastic. Just in case you don’t know, the activated carbon is of excellent quality…coming from coconut shell.

And to finish the air cleaning and purifying process, the 2 anti-microbial filters removes, well…different micro organisms that can cause health problems like viruses, germs, bacteria, and everything in between. That’s very handy when you realize that there are different respiratory diseases caused by these not-so-friendly micro organisms.

Let me make this clear though – you shouldn’t rely on AllerAir 5000 or any other air purifiers as your only defense against these airborne elements. You should remove the sources of these airborne particles before you install any air purifier.

However, with a 66 square foot and medical grade HEPA air filter that has been tested and proven to remove 99.97% of airborne particles (including those that are as small as 0.03 micron) like pollens, dust, and other asthma and allergy-causing elements, the AllerAir 5000 is definitely a must-have if you’re in the market for a cleaner and healthier air.

Allerair 4000 Review

A little smaller than the AllerAir 5000 series of air purifiers, you shouldn’t let the size of AllerAir 4000 fool you! This air purifier packs a lot of punch and can rival even the heavy-duty air cleaners in homes, businesses, and industrial facilities. When it comes to removing airborne allergens, gases, chemicals, bacteria, and others, this can keep up even with the most expensive and most popular air purifiers around.

The AllerAir 4000 takes advantage of 4 steps when it comes to cleaning your room’s air. Let’s have a closer look at each of these air-purifying steps…

First, the AllerAir 4000’s pre-filter entraps the large dust particles from the air. And just in case you don’t know, the pre-filters of the AllerAir 4000is very easy to clean. Vacuuming it should easily cut it. Doing so will lengthen and preserve the lives of the pre-filter as well as other filters.

Next, the MAC-B, also known as the Mass Activated Carbon Bed, filter will lock on the gases and odors that are plaguing your room’s air. It will continue to work for several months to come before it needs some replacement.

This is followed up by 2 anti-microbial filters. You see, the air you breathe contains different micro organisms like bacteria, mold, as well as viruses. They can pose serious health risks if left on their own. And some of them can be life-threatening. The AllerAir 4000’s anti-microbial filters protect you from these not-so-friendly elements.

To top it off, the AllerAir 4000’s final air filter – the HEPA will trap different airborne articles. With a reliable pre-filter and 4 different filters, the AllerAir 4000 is one reliable air purifier that you can use whether in your homes, offices, etc. I have used several air purifiers from different and notable manufacturers, but when it comes to ease of use, efficiency, and size, there’s nothing quite like the AllerAir 4000.
